Java Backend Lead Developer

Location: Southlake, TX – 3 days a week onsite (day one onsite). Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Java Backend Lead Developer with extensive experience in banking and finance domains. This is a full-time position (no contractors) with a strong emphasis on leadership and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage onshore, offshore, and nearshore teams from the US location (minimum 2 years of team lead experience required).
• Actively contribute to hands-on coding in current projects using Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Kafka, and PCF.
• Develop and maintain backend systems, APIs, and messaging solutions in an Agile environment.
• Ensure strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Kafka, and PCF.
• Proven experience as a hands-on technical lead in backend development, particularly with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience in Agile methodologies and backend project development.
• Must be actively coding in current projects.
• Good communication skills.

Pay

Salary: $140K (based on candidate experience and interview feedback).
