About the role
We are seeking an experienced Java Architect with strong expertise in designing enterprise applications and hands-on experience integrating AI/ML technologies into modern software solutions. The ideal candidate will lead architecture initiatives, drive technical strategy, and build scalable, cloud-native applications powered by AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise-grade Java applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Define application architecture, design patterns, and best practices for scalable and secure systems.
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications using APIs and AI frameworks.
- Design AI-powered solutions including chatbots, intelligent search, document processing, and recommendation systems.
- Build RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Lead cloud-native development on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver AI-enabled business solutions.
- Drive code quality through design reviews, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
- Mentor development teams and provide architectural guidance throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
- 12+ years of Java development experience with 5+ years in an Architect role.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA, and Microservices.
- Experience with AI technologies such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, or Hugging Face.
- Knowledge of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB), AI Agents, and LangChain/LangGraph.
- Experience integrating AI APIs into enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of system design, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
