About the role
The API Technical Lead role is based in either Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX on-site 5 days a week. Employer sponsorship of immigration-related visa and/or green card status as part of the PERM process will not be provided.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the team with the client
- Drive the direction and roadmap for the microservices architecture
- Provide innovative solutions to complex situations and drive outcomes
- Provide technical guidance and architectural assistance around Kafka, Microservices and Mongo DB integrations
- Help the other members of the team with technical queries and guide and mentor them to develop top quality code
- Work in an Agile environment and adapt to the changing needs and requirements of the business
- Always be ready to be hands-on to develop or fix issues to deliver on time and with highest quality
- Work closely with leadership and the whole Tech team
- Work to guide team members to create test plans, and ensure the issues are properly identified, fixed and tested
- Develop incorporating the best practices
Requirements
- At least 9+ years of Java API development using Springboot, hands-on troubleshooting and deployment experience
- (Mandatory) 3+ years of experience working as a lead and driving high quality outcomes
- Excellent working knowledge of Open Shift Container Platform and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of Kafka will be a huge value add
- Experience integrating Java based applications with Mongo DB
- Demonstrate strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams and in an Agile environment
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- At least 9+ years of Java API development using Springboot, hands-on troubleshooting and deployment experience

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $176,300.00.
