Janitorial Supervisor, Part Time
About the role
Apart from overseeing the building/facility cleaning staff and ensuring cleanliness, the Janitorial Supervisor, Part Time may also supervise exterior cleaning, snow removal, and basic maintenance. They are responsible for preparing and presenting reports on occupancy, staff assignments, and expenses.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and assign daily cleaning tasks, including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, vacuuming/shampooing floors and carpets, dusting and cleaning furniture, cleaning restrooms, washing walls, polishing, mopping floors, cleaning up spills, and more.
- Inspect building areas to ensure work is done properly, issue supplies and equipment, and conduct inventory checks.
- Screen and train job applicants, conduct performance reviews, and make recommendations for promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
- Supervise and assist with exterior cleaning, snow removal, and basic maintenance tasks such as wall and window cleaning, parking lot and structure maintenance, garden and lawn care, pool/spa cleaning, curb/gutter cleaning, hallway and stairwell cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Ensure proper and safe operation of cleaning equipment, snow removal equipment, tools, and chemicals, and organize and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Respond promptly to spills, emergencies, and maintenance issues, and dispose of cleaning agents and chemicals according to guidelines.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Bilingual.
- Valid/current MA Driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite and Work Order System.

Pay
$22.95 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule
Saturday - Sunday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM (including holidays)
