Janitorial Supervisor

About the role

The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high‑quality service, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and helping to provide a safe working environment. This person acts as a liaison between clients and managers when the manager is not present and must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Encourages, redirects, corrects, and documents employee performance as appropriate.
• Aids co‑workers to meet customer demands and timelines; coordinates cleaning of restricted‑access areas.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as dusting, wiping, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying trash receptacles.
• Stocks, organizes, and maintains janitor closets and supply rooms.
• Maintains a safe work environment and immediately reports any safety risks or hazards.
• Monitors building security and facilitates site‑specific safety protocols.
• Facilitates inspections to assure performance of quality standards and scope of work.
• Conducts hiring interviews as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean motor‑vehicle record.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining high performance.
• Customer‑oriented, friendly, and able to work well with a diverse team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to attend training related to industry practices and procedures.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Some experience performing administrative tasks.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, repeat the same movements, bend and twist frequently, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lb.
• Flexibility to work evenings and full‑time third‑shift hours.
• Must pass pre‑employment requirements as needed.

Pay

$20 per hour with a daily‑pay option.

Schedule

Full‑time third shift, Monday – Friday, 10:00 pm – 6:00 am. Flexible hours including evenings; weekends may be required.
