Tessera is seeking a dedicated and professional Janitorial Supervisor with a positive attitude. Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and train crew in various janitorial activities.
  • Ensure all employees receive required training, certification, and/or medical clearance, including new hire orientation and on-the-job training.
  • Ensure safety procedures are practiced and strive to maintain an accident-free environment.
  • Ensure company rules, regulations, and policies are followed by all supervised employees.
  • Schedule routes to ensure adequate service and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Address personnel issues/concerns and conduct progressive disciplinary action, when necessary, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Complete various reports and schedules such as route schedules, training agendas, attendance, evaluations, employee documentations, payroll, timekeeping, accident reports, and Quality Control recommendations.
  • Ensure all areas of the hospital are clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and remain in a functional environment.
  • Conduct Quality Control inspections on completed work and all operational equipment.
  • Ensure quality service to meet contract requirements.
  • Monitor employee performance and complete Probationary and Annual Performance Evaluations for all supervised employees.
  • Mentor and coach employees with disabilities and facilitate reasonable accommodation with assistance from a vocational/Human Resources representative.
  • Conduct supply and equipment inventory.
  • Responsible for the issue, turn-in, and securing of all government and Tessera keys/vehicles/phones.
  • Ensure buildings are secured, and safety measures are taken when exiting.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of closely related experience.
  • Must be able to work in a team or independently.
  • Prior supervisor, leadership, or management experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, mentoring, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Valid state driver’s license with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act. More information.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Per government contract, proof of U.S. citizenship is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance (reasonable accommodation available for individuals with disabilities):
  • Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking.
  • Standing or sitting for several hours at a time.
  • Climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs.
  • Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.

$29.77 per hour
