Janitorial Supervisor

About the role

Supervise, train, and work alongside crew performing daily cleaning of mall common areas, including restrooms, food court, and other public areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train cleaning crews
• Ensure adherence to cleaning schedules and standards
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints
• Perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Assist in emergency situations as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred
• Must pass background investigation and drug screen
• Effective communication skills with customers, patrons, and employees
• Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Possess the integrity and ability to work independently and/or collaboratively
• Experience in operations, diagnostics, and maintaining HVAC/chiller systems
• Strong maintenance skills/knowledge and computer proficiency
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Willingness to work hands-on and where needed, alongside the staff
• Passion to embrace change and modify goals and directives quickly
• Solid decision-making skills
• Sound knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
• Ability to operate machinery including high lifts, motorized tools, and vehicles
• Ability to climb ladders and walk the rooftop of the facility
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, drive, and operate equipment frequently and repetitively
• Able to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year
• Flexible to adapt to variable shift hours, including possible weekends and nights
• Reliable transportation is required
