About the role
The Janitorial Services Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the janitorial contract at Dobbins AFB. This includes coordination of all day-to-day matters for Dobbins AFB and supervision of employees under the janitorial contract. The position involves training employees and program participants in appropriate work performance and behavior, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Must be a working supervisor.
- Initiate, monitor, and conduct quality control inspections in accordance with the contract's Quality Control Plan (QCP).
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate all services in the statement of work.
- Steward a positive and productive relationship with the contract and the Tommy Nobis Center teams.
- Set an example and hold team members accountable for performance, customer service, and employee engagement.
- Conduct daily quality control inspections.
- Ensure contract compliance and adherence to federal and state regulations, including AbilityOne requirements.
- Recruit new team members in coordination with Tommy Nobis Center Human Resources.
- Compile and submit contractor-vendor performance reports.
- Implement rehabilitation plans for program participants' training.
- Facilitate quarterly AbilityOne evaluations.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and order when necessary.
- Participate in Tommy Nobis Center mission-related activities.
- Assist in preparing bids for project proposals.
- Meet budget requirements for direct/indirect payroll, supplies, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or related field or commensurate experience.
- 4-5 years supervisory experience.
- Experience working in the Non-Profit business environment and AbilityOne service contracting.
- Experience guiding people with disabilities.
- Experienced custodial supervisor with proven business development skills.
- Total Facilities Management (TFM) experience.
- Custodial management with Dobbins AFB or another federal agency.
- Basic computer skills for recording time for payroll, weekly/monthly reports, etc.
- Familiarity with GREEN CLEANING standards.
- Knowledge and experience of performing periodic floor care services including carpet and Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) strip and refinish.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of floor care cleaning equipment.
- Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Commercial cleaning industry certifications, such as ISSA, BOMA, BSCAI, IICRC, or other recognized designations.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Pass drug screen and background check.
- Ability to satisfy security requirements for access to contracted areas.
