Job Details Vonachen Group is looking to hire a Janitorial/Industrial Lead on 3rd shift in Topeka, KS. The Janitorial/Industrial Lead is a working lead responsible for coordinating and monitoring the daily work of assigned employees while also performing hands-on janitorial, industrial cleaning, and general labor duties. This position helps ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company and customer standards. Job Responsibilities Perform general cleaning including dusting, wiping, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, and trash removalPerform industrial cleaning and general labor duties in production, warehouse, manufacturing, and other facility areasComplete detail and specialized cleaning of equipment areas, floors, corners, edges, and hard-to-reach surfacesPerform general labor including material handling, debris removal, moving supplies/equipment, and facility cleanupSafely operate cleaning equipment, tools, and use appropriate cleaning chemicalsCoordinate daily assignments and monitor completion and quality of workWork alongside employees to ensure customer needs and timelines are metTrain and mentor employees on cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety requirements, and assigned dutiesProvide employees with direction, feedback, and performance correction as appropriatePerform quality checks and address areas that do not meet established standardsIdentify and communicate safety concerns, equipment issues, and supply needsFollow and reinforce all company, customer, and site-specific safety requirementsPerform other janitorial, industrial cleaning, and general labor duties as assigned Job Requirements Must be 18 years of age or olderValid driver's license and acceptable MVRReliable transportationPrevious janitorial, industrial cleaning, manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor experience preferredPrevious lead or supervisory experience preferredAbility to lead by example and work alongside assigned employeesStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyAbility to safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, equipment, and required PPEHigh school diploma or GED preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, and repetitive movementsAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform physically demanding cleaning and general labor dutiesAbility to work in industrial environments that may include noise, dust, dirt, varying temperatures, and cleaning chemicalsAbility to work around industrial equipment and active production areasAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed Details Full-Time Monday- Friday 3rd Shift$18.50/hrFull benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), STD, LTD Must pass pre-employment requirements as needed Now offering Daily Pay Additional Information / Benefits Paid Holidays401K/403b PlanShort Term DisabilityDental InsurancePaid VacationLong Term DisabilityVision InsuranceMedical InsuranceLife Insurance This position reports to Supervisor.
