Janitorial Floater (Part-Time)

About the role

TFG HI is a combination of two local companies that has provided facilities maintenance services to leading businesses in Hawaii for over 50 years. We offer comprehensive commercial building maintenance and cleaning services, including daily janitorial, carpet cleaning, floor stripping and coating, pressure washing, sanitizing, and building maintenance and repairs.

Janitor floaters for TFG HI are responsible for servicing various clients throughout the Island. Customer properties include individual office suites, larger professional buildings, education and medical facilities, financial institutions, etc. Our janitor floaters are a direct representation of the company to our clients and are instrumental in helping clients leave a positive impression of their business with their employees and customers.

A TFG HI janitor floater is an essential member of our Operations team. They must be a reliable, hardworking, self-motivated professional who has high standards for customer satisfaction and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Flexibility to travel to different client sites during a single shift, as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness of office suites, restrooms, and outdoor and indoor common areas.
• Understand and effectively use the appropriate cleaning products and methods.
• Must be consistently reliable, efficient, and have a high commitment to service excellence.
• Demonstrate professionalism, high integrity, and self-discipline to do what’s right.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn and adopt specific TFG HI processes.
• Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple client sites.
• Janitorial or housekeeping experience is highly preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work efficiently and follow specific directions.
• Possess clear and effective communication skills.
• Basic English proficiency is necessary.
• Self-starter with strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Hiring is contingent on clearing a criminal background check.

Schedule

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, any day of the week. Shifts vary based on business needs and may begin as early as 6:00 AM.
