Janitorial Crew Lead

About the role

The Crew Lead performs site Crew tasks and ensures these tasks are fully executed at the site. Interacts with clients to provide professional and prompt customer service as needed. Provides direction and task coordination for assigned Crew. Ensures Crew members understand and are knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Collaborates with Crew to ensure coordination and successful execution of daily operations and resolves deficiencies in a timely manner. Assists Supervisor or Zone Manager with new hires and training. Motivates the crew; interacts regularly with crew members to provide support and clarity and leads by example.

Responsibilities

• Affords support and motivation to the crew; interacts regularly with crew members to provide support and clarity and leads by example.
• Affords direction and task coordination for assigned Crew.
• Assists Supervisor or Zone Manager with new hires and training.

Requirements

• Experience in janitorial operations and distribution center environment strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years in a Lead/Supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
• Ability to follow OSHA requirements, safety guidelines, and forklift instructions.
• Customer Service oriented, friendly, and positive demeanor with the ability to motivate team members and support customer requests in an orderly and timely manner.

Qualifications

Pay

$18.0 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts available: Friday-Monday 6:00am-4:30pm, Friday-Monday 5:00pm-3:00am, Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-3:00am, Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30am.
