Janitorial Crew Lead

Responsibilities

• Perform team tasks on site and ensure the assigned crew completes all tasks fully on site.
• Interact with the client to deliver professional and responsive customer service as needed.
• Provide direction and task coordination for the assigned crew.
• Ensure crew members understand and are aware of their responsibilities according to each policy.
• Collaborate with the crew to ensure coordination and successful execution of daily operations and resolve deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Assist the supervisor or zone manager with new hires and training.
• Ensure team members have the information and tools to perform their work effectively; provide clarity and support team member success.
• Motivate the crew; interact regularly with crew members to provide support and clarity and lead by example.

Requirements

• Preferred experience in cleaning operations and distribution center environments.
• 1–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safety data sheets (typically in English; may be available in Spanish where state law requires).
• Ability to follow OSHA requirements, safety guidelines, and forklift instructions.
• Customer-service oriented, friendly and positive attitude with the ability to motivate crew members and support client requests in an orderly and timely manner.

KBS uses the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software to accurately record employee work hours, manage attendance, complete required training, and distribute important work information. All non-exempt employees must download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out of shifts and breaks. Where applicable by local law, a reimbursement is provided for the use of personal cell phones to support the use of personal devices for work tasks.

Pay

Starting pay: $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

• 1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift – 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
