Janitorial Associate

About the role

The Store Custodian maintains a clean and safe working environment for staff and customers, ensuring that all areas are kept in excellent condition to support daily operations and a positive experience for everyone.

Responsibilities

• Cleans lunch/break room.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.
• Dust mops sales floor area.
• Empties all trash cans under desk areas, in the office, and at the front of the store.
• Maintains outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways.
• Performs dusting as necessary.
• Removes recycling materials.
• Notifies store management when maintenance supplies are running low.
• Maintains professional etiquette and a positive attitude in all communications, including phone and radio with associates and customers.
• Frequently lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, carry, and push.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment and shift priorities accordingly.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Must be able to freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area, and register area.
