Janitor (Part-time Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

About the role

Cleans and maintains offices, working areas, washrooms, and other spaces in an industrial complex or facility.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors
• Removing trash and other refuse
• Dusting equipment, furniture, and fixtures
• Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
• Providing supplies and minor maintenance services
• Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
• Performing duties in compliance with company safety regulations
• Following specific safety procedures when accessing laboratory areas
• May perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring dexterity and stamina
• Exposure to dirt, dust, detergents, and non-hazardous commercial cleaning products
• Possible exposure to bodily fluids and unpleasant odors (Hepatitis B vaccination required)
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Three to five years of janitorial experience in an industrial setting

Part-Time (18 hours per week), 1st Shift; Monday, Wednesday, Friday
