Employee Owner Position Purpose The Janitor is responsible for the general upkeep of clubhouses, administrative offices, and other common areas of the community. Key areas of focus include maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring appropriate supplies are stocked, and performing non-routine support as needed. Job Duties And Responsibilities Clean and supply designated building areas; this may include, but is not limited to: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and similarRemove garbage and recycling daily; prepare bins for weekly collectionSafely handle cleaning supplies and related chemicalsNotify supervisor of occurring deficiencies or needed repairsManage emergency cleaning and upkeep requests – particularly hazards (like water leaking on a walkway)Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues as requested, such as adjusting heating/coolingMaintain a clean work area, tools, and equipmentOther duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma (or equivalent)Basic computer skills are a big plusExperience in janitorial services – with generally between 1-2 years of experienceAbility to meet deadlines and address time-sensitive issuesSuperior multi-tasking skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to provide high-level customer service with astute attention to detail and organizationMust be a team playerAbility to manage workflow amid shifting prioritiesWilling to learn Company process and procedures, and learn/use proprietary softwareAdaptable and dependable with a solid attendance recordProfessional and respectful demeanor with all internal and external customers at all timesAbility to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision Special Position Requirements Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record in compliance with Company policy Essential Functions Use standard office equipment, including: computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.Use standard cleaning equipment, including: broom, mop, vacuum, etc.Be stationary or in motion for periods of timeRelocate up to (25) poundsAble to perform outdoor work in all types of weather Supervises Others None Schedule & Travel Shifts will vary based on business needWeekends Required The Management Trust is an Equal Opportunity employer.
