Janitor - Part Time

About the role

Fortis Native Group is seeking a Part Time Custodian. This position is fully onsite and supporting the Del Rio Customs Border Patrol. They will report to the Project Manager. Fortis Native Group is an E-Verify employer.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors
• Removing chips, trash, and other refuse
• Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures
• Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
• Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
• Disinfecting of high touch areas (doorknobs, light switch covers, desktops, etc.)

Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Must pass agency and federal background checks, drug screen, and confirmation that you are authorized to work in the US
• Physical capacity to perform demanding tasks: moving, carrying, storing items, cleaning, dusting, wiping rooms full of furniture, floors and carpets
• 1-2 years of experience
• Applicant must receive favorable background and drug screen results and meet eligibility requirements for access to government computer systems and/or facilities
• Drug screens follow Federal guidelines

Pay

Wage $15.40/hr plus $5.42 per hour Health and Welfare up to 40 hours per week (these monies are used for your benefits), which can be taken as additional hourly pay resulting in an effective wage of $20.82/hr.
