Janitor - Part Time

Fortis Industries is seeking a Part-Time Janitor for a government contract in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain working areas, washrooms, and premises of an office or other establishment
• Perform a combination of the following tasks:
  • Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors
  • Removing trash and other refuse
  • Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures
  • Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
  • Providing supplies and minor maintenance services
  • Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
• Disinfect high-touch areas (e.g., door knobs, desktops)
• Follow directions and collaborate with co-workers or the Leadership Team as needed

The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to move, carry, and store various items, as well as clean rooms with furniture, floors, and carpets.

Requirements

• Must pass agency and federal background checks
• Must pass a federal drug screen
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Physical capacity to perform demanding tasks

Prior experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.75 per hour plus a $5.09 Health and Welfare benefit allowance (up to 40 hours). The allowance may be taken as additional hourly pay, resulting in an effective wage of $22.84 per hour.

Schedule

6 hours per day, Monday through Friday (9 PM – 3 AM). Shifts may be adjusted depending on business needs.
