Janitor (Orlando, FL) - Austin Industrial

About the role

Must be detail‑oriented, flexible, and willing to take on non‑routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room, and public areas. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean, dust, and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure hazards are not created.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Perform physical tasks requiring full range of mobility, including reaching overhead, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and balancing for extended periods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirements.
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug test, and background check.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment visas.
