Janitor II

About the role

Location: Anchorage, Alaska. Employment type: Full‑Time (part‑time 1‑19 hrs/wk or full‑time 30‑40 hrs/wk). The Janitor II provides janitorial services at contract job sites in accordance with industry standards. This role supports a clean, safe, and professional environment while contributing to Assets, Inc.'s mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and restroom cleaning
• Clean windows, carpets, floors, blinds, and upholstery
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and extractors
• Follow OSHA safety standards and site‑specific requirements
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers
• Participate in trainings and team meetings
• Support team operations and workplace expectations
• Provide on‑the‑job guidance or coaching to other employees as needed
• Complete all required training
• May be required to obtain security clearance depending on site
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR six (6) months of janitorial experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to follow simple instructions and complete assigned tasks
• Ability to communicate basic information verbally and in writing
• Physical requirements: frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching; ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs with assistance; ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
• Work environment: exposure to cleaning chemicals and moving equipment; occasional exposure to electrical risk; moderate noise level

Skills

• Experience with general cleaning and disinfecting practices
• Experience with floor care equipment
• Familiarity with janitorial tools and cleaning procedures

Pay

$17.75 per hour

Schedule

Schedule varies based on contract needs. Possible shifts: part‑time Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am‑5:00 pm; or full‑time shifts 3:30 PM‑12:00 AM or 12:00 am‑8:30 am (days vary, with scheduled days off). Please share your availability when you apply.
