Janitor/Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Performs project work and floor care and carpet care duties throughout the facility as assigned.
• Is assigned the keys to facilitate the availability of project equipment and to be able to open apartments for the housekeepers as necessary.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, cottages, common areas, assisted living and the health center, such as: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting cleared flat surfaces.
• Directs and leads staff during deep cleans to ensure proper cleaning protocols and work is divided fairly and equitably.
• P Practices safe work habits to prevent injury to self and others.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping preferred
• Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with Seniors
• Ability to stand and move for extended period of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently required
