About the Role

Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop all floors, stairwells, and staircases.
- Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors throughout the gym regularly, and shampoo carpets as needed.
- Execute specialized cleaning for all martial arts training areas, including disinfecting mats, the octagon, and heavy bags.
- Keep locker rooms and restrooms fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition within designated storage areas.
- Complete daily checklists and logs in a timely manner.
- Dust and clean exercise equipment, change lightbulbs, and immediately report maintenance concerns (such as leaks, slow drainage, or malfunctioning fixtures) to the Operations Manager.
- Meticulous care regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and overall safety inside the gym environment.
- The ability to work quickly, thoroughly, and productively with minimal direct supervision.
- A cheerful, supportive demeanor toward all members and fellow staff members, promoting a team-first environment.
- Strict adherence to scheduled shift times, meal periods, and clocking in/out protocols.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in professional janitorial or housekeeping services.
- Proficient in verbal and written English with the ability to follow instructions seamlessly.
- Knowledge of the proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals and materials.
- Physical capability to stand and remain on your feet for a full shift, stretch, bend, kneel, and frequently lift up-to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts as required by the club's cleaning schedule.
