Janitor & Food Prep

About the role

Afternoon/evening schedule during the week, with some weekend shifts. This role involves maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment while also supporting food prep for the next day.

Responsibilities

• Move large/heavy equipment regularly to sweep/mop/clean
• Lift 50 lbs. overhead
• Clean all glass: windows (interior/exterior), sneeze guards, and drive-thru sign
• Operate 3 Compartment Sink (Wash, Rinse, Sanitize)
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes
• Collect and take all trash to dumpster (no food can be left in trash bin inside overnight)
• Wash trash cans
• Wipe down all lobby tables/seating/straw holders/napkin holders
• Ensure prep is done for the next day (fruits/veggies/powders/juices/etc.)
• Rotate everything in fridges/freezers (strawberries, bananas, etc.)
• Sweep/mop BOH, lobby, bathrooms, etc. (multiple times during shift)
• Pick up trash around the building, in the drive-thru lane, etc.
• Pull out fridges/freezers, sweep and mop behind/under units
• Keep restrooms clean (sinks, toilets, mirrors, etc.)
• Maintain toilet paper and paper towel supplies
• Ensure mop bucket is dumped and clean (detailed)
• Drain sinks and wipe down black prep cart
• Sweep and mop the entire store
• Clean the exterior of all fridge/freezer units
• Wipe down the ice cream freezer and rolling table
• Stock prep bar and back up cooler
• Complete all dishes before leaving
• Put away chemicals and ensure no chemicals are left out front
• Keep front counters, swinging door, and detail sanitizer buckets clean
• Clean the office desk and mop the office
• Detail W/R/S ice scoop + holder every night
• Clean the drain under FOH sprayer sink
• Detail sprayer handle on sprayer sink
• Wash, rinse, sanitize red sanitizer buckets throughout shift
• Clean dipper well ensuring it does not get clogged
• Wipe down speed rail and tile walls FOH
• Clean the sprayer sink and ice cream freezer
• Wipe down all stainless surfaces, including handles
