Janitor Floater

About the role
As a Janitorial Floater, you support multiple client sites by traveling to different buildings and ensuring each is clean, safe, and well-maintained. You handle daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and responding to spills while working independently and efficiently. This role requires flexibility with availability, a reliable vehicle, and a valid driver’s license. You will service buildings in the Fort Collins area, with some assignments up to 1-hour away. Work assignments are communicated daily prior to your shift.
Responsibilities
- Service different buildings daily, as assigned by your supervisor or admin staff.
- Perform general cleaning of the building and maintain it in good condition.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment, including a backpack vacuum.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Ensure doors are locked after hours.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid, unexpired driver’s license and a personal vehicle for transportation.
- Ability to drive to different client locations in the Fort Collins area (and occasionally Denver Metro or Colorado Springs).
- Experience with basic cleaning and janitorial work, including emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, and wipe downs.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work well with minimal supervision.
- Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies and basic cleaning equipment.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify is used).
Physical Considerations
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, and perform other movements as required by the job.
- Lift up to 40 lbs as required by the job.
- Operate a vehicle to travel between client sites.
