Janitor Floater

About the role

As a Janitorial Floater, you support multiple client sites by traveling to different buildings and ensuring each is clean, safe, and well-maintained. You handle daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and responding to spills while working independently and efficiently. This role requires flexibility with availability, a reliable vehicle, and a valid driver’s license. You will service buildings in the Fort Collins area, with some assignments up to 1-hour away. Work assignments are communicated daily prior to your shift.

Responsibilities

• Service different buildings daily, as assigned by your supervisor or admin staff.
• Perform general cleaning of the building and maintain it in good condition.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment, including a backpack vacuum.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Ensure doors are locked after hours.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
• Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid, unexpired driver’s license and a personal vehicle for transportation.
• Ability to drive to different client locations in the Fort Collins area (and occasionally Denver Metro or Colorado Springs).
• Experience with basic cleaning and janitorial work, including emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, and wipe downs.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work well with minimal supervision.
• Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies and basic cleaning equipment.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify is used).

Physical Considerations

• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and perform other movements as required by the job.
• Lift up to 40 lbs as required by the job.
• Operate a vehicle to travel between client sites.
