JANITOR EVENINGS (Full-Time)

About the role

Covenant Woods is a Continuing Care Retirement Community seeking a full‑time Janitor. The role involves cleaning floor coverings, ensuring trash is properly disposed of, and maintaining all areas of the facility to the highest standards with minimal supervision. You will work directly with residents, building relationships in a family‑like team environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean floor coverings and all interior areas of the facility.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
• Use and maintain floor cleaning equipment, washing and drying machines.
• Set up common areas for various events according to instructions.
• Follow housekeeping methods and care for cleaning supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• 3 years of housekeeping/janitorial experience, preferably in a health‑care setting.
• Knowledge of housekeeping methods and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Familiarity with floor cleaning equipment and washing/drying machines (desired).
• Current state of Virginia driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, sit, crouch, crawl, twist, and reach for most or all of the workday.
• Capability to lift and carry an average of 10 lb (up to 20 lb maximum) and push or pull an average of 30 lb.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (full‑time).
