About the role
Tessera is seeking a motivated and reliable Janitor with a professional attitude. As a Janitor with Tessera, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. Additionally, you will work directly with a teammate on an assigned route across Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Responsibilities
- Restroom Cleaning – sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls & doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floor. Follow cross contamination procedures.
- Office Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
- Halls and High Traffic Area Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
- Entrances and Exits Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean entry doors according to schedule.
- Trash – Empty trash in office areas, lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker according to schedule.
- Supply Restocking – restock supplies according to schedule.
- Dusting – dusting in restrooms, shower/locker areas, according to schedule.
- Shower Cleaning – clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross contamination procedures.
- Janitorial Supply Closet/Locker – keep clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain stamina to perform assigned duties.
Physical Requirements
- Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance.
- The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements
- Valid state driver license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance carrier.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
