Janitor Crew Leader El Paso International Airport

About the role

PCSI is seeking a janitor Crew Leader at the El Paso International Airport. The position reports to the Project Manager and is based in El Paso, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in maintaining the highest standard of quality throughout the facility.
• Aid in the monitoring, training, and motivation of employees.
• Inspect all assigned restrooms for cleanliness and conduct a daily quality control checklist to ensure a 90% standard is met.
• Inspect all projects and follow up after completion.
• Ensure all employees are clocked in correctly and are working at their stations; cover all areas.
• Encourage, guide, and mentor employees' personal and professional development.
• Assign tasks and work schedules to employees as needed.
• Document complaints by completing a corrective action report according to PCSI's process.
• Provide continuous on-the-job training and schedule employee training as required on new processes and procedures.
• Conduct monthly safety training.
• Write monthly case notes on assigned employees.
• Follow all facility safety policies and procedures, and ensure employee compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working as a supervisor in janitorial services, preferred, or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and PC functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Accuracy and speed in work performance.
• Ability to delegate tasks and ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Ability to train employees on assigned duties.
• Ability to perform a variety of routine, unskilled, and semi-skilled janitorial work.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screenings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Ability to work outside in inclement weather, expose to dirt, debris, and odors.
• Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned sites.

Benefits

Benefits include a base pay of $15.45 per hour plus benefits.

Schedule

Typical hours are Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6:30am-3pm and Tuesday, Wednesday 2:30pm-11pm.
