Hourly Pay Rate: $20.70/hour
C-Shift Differential: $2.00/hour

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to be flexible, work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and work with little supervision
Ability to operate a floor scrubber or capable of learning to operate a floor scrubber
Ability to work well with others and build positive relationships
Ability to comprehend written instructions

Job Responsibilities

• Empties all trash cans and recyclables into appropriate bins
• Cleans, sweeps and mops break areas, factory rest rooms and offices
• Changes all cleaning toiletries when needed
• Responsible for cleaning of plant equipment when required
• Ensures all janitorial materials are clean, in good working order and stored properly when not in use
• Works in a safe manner, and observes plant safety rules and regulations at all times
• Recommends proposals for improving products, processes, systems productivity and working environment
• Supports quality and environmental policies
• Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey
• Runs floor scrubber daily
• Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment
• Disposes of contaminated waste in labeled biohazard containers, practices thorough hand hygiene, and follows established spill response procedures
• Participates in training programs, stays updated on safety protocols
• When working with bloodborne pathogens, cleans and disinfects surfaces using appropriate disinfectants, handles sharp objects with tools and disposes of them in puncture-resistant containers, and wears PPE such as gloves, gowns, masks, and eye protection
