Janitor
About the role

Responsibilities
- Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors
- Removing chips, trash, and other refuse
- Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures
- Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
- Providing supplies and minor maintenance services
- Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
- Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping around the different areas of the building on a daily basis
- Operating floor buffer machines and scrubber machines to clean rugs around the building
- Cleaning glass of all doorways and entrances to offices
- Monitoring building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after cleaning offices
- Notifying management of need for repairs when necessary
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in custodial field preferred
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand and walk
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb, balance, kneel, bend, and crouch
- Talk or hear
- Lift or move products and supplies up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally climb a ladder and use power tools
