Janitor

Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities for the students.

About the role

As a Janitor, you will ensure the cleanliness of our 44-acre site, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping our cottages, administrative building, education building, and staff house. The position requires frequent use of a mule or golf cart to get around campus. This position includes laundry tasks and may involve some interaction with our youth.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop cottages, administrative building, education building, and staff house
• Perform laundry tasks
• Operate a mule or golf cart to navigate the campus
• Occasional interaction with youth

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
• Ability to pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Pay

Starting at $18.00/hour

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. – 1 p.m.
