About the role

The position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining sanitary conditions in employee facilities such as the lunchroom, restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, and stairways. Using established cleaning procedures, chemicals, tools, and techniques, this role ensures sanitary conditions in bathrooms, lunchrooms, and locker rooms. This position is for D Shift.

Responsibilities

• Cleans restrooms including floors, stalls, urinals, toilets, sinks, fixtures, and walls.
• Stocks restrooms with paper products and soap.
• Sweeps, mops, and waxes hallways and cafeteria as required.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary lunchroom through thorough cleaning of tables, counters, floors, and walls; empties garbage cans and changes liners.
• Washes windows and doors.
• Performs basic cleaning of warehouse offices, break rooms, maintenance, personnel, and supervisors' offices.
• Proper use of safety signs and barricades.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals usage and technique.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required. If not already qualified, training will be provided, and certification must be obtained within established time frames.
• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English (both written and oral).

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
• Exposure to a noisy environment with temperatures varying from hot to cold.
• Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per workday, including loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet or slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells, and allergens.
• Ability to perform repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for job tasks.
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead and under equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level and in high places.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to temperatures ranging from -20°F to 35°F in freezer operations and 37°F to 90°F in plant operations.
• May need to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products.
• Regular climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders.

Pay

A reasonable hourly estimate for this role is $22.07. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's work location, job duties, experience, and expertise.
