Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning tasks in office, restrooms, and other general areas as assigned, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, stripping and waxing floors, and cleaning toilets and sinks
• Communicates effectively with other team members regarding the coordination of tasks that impact the work or working conditions of the other team members
• Bridges the gap between the work area and the supply closet, bringing correct tools and supplies to the work area for each assigned task
• Keeps area neat while working and keeps cleaning cart properly stocked
• Informs supervisor or designee when supplies are low and need to be ordered
• Sets priorities and adapts to changes in workload, following through with the change as assigned
• Aids in the performance of contractual requirements, including but not limited to snow removal as needed
• Communicates with visitors and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner and displays courtesy at all times
• Works effectively with a variety of staff members, regardless of varied ethnic, racial and sociological backgrounds
• Responds appropriately to inquiries and requests in a friendly, cooperative manner
• Performs all duties in an independent manner, with little or no need for direct supervision
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements

• Thorough understanding of the cleaning requirements preferred
• Meets and maintains Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12 clearance
• Has a current Real ID or valid U.S. Passport to obtain the necessary security clearances at designated federal job sites
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Ability to process basic instructions
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in workload
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of staff members, regardless of varied ethnic, racial, and sociological backgrounds
• Time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated judgment with the ability to independently problem-solve
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems and take appropriate action
• Must possess excellent customer interaction and verbal communication skills
