Janitor
Job Description
The Janitor position at Diversified Maintenance is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside buildings or multiple client sites. Responsibilities include maintaining and cleaning floor surfaces, cleaning restrooms, corridors, and entrance areas, emptying trash cans, and replenishing supplies. Other duties may include using heavy cleaning equipment and assisting with carpet extractions and shampooing.
- Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
- Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
- Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
- Spot clean carpets
- Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
- Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
- Follow housekeeping schedule
- Occasionally perform other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
- On the job training will be provided
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions effectively

Pay
The starting hourly rate for the Full Time - Day Porter position is $13 per hour, with weekly pay.
Schedule
Hours are Monday through Friday.
