Janitor

About the role

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor for full-time positions at $14.00 per hour with weekly pay. This role involves performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Tasks vary based on client specifications, requiring flexibility in duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
• Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use compactors for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, based on the scope of work or customer needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months of experience in a janitorial position
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively

On-the-job training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance

Pay

$14.00 per hour, with weekly pay.
