Jacksonville Livestock Driver

Job Duties & Accountabilities

• Pick up and deliver pigs safely and efficiently, adhering to FMSCA regulations and Transport Quality Assurance standards.
• Load and unload tractors/trailers in a safe manner.
• Inspect tractors/trailers before and after each trip, ensuring mechanical safety and emergency equipment is operational.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• One-year semi-tractor and 53ft Trailer driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Medical examiner certification card.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

• Knowledge of Pre-trip and Post-trip DOT regulations.
• Navigation skills.
• Proper driving techniques for semi-tractors.
• Route planning skills.
• Load securing knowledge.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions such as weather, traffic, and route changes.
• Alertness, lift & pull up to 50 to 75 pounds, squatting, kneeling, bending, climbing, and reaching overhead and below the knees.

Compensation and Benefits

• Targeted pay range of $22.75 - $32.00 USD per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
