Job Duties & Accountabilities
- Pick up and deliver pigs safely and efficiently, adhering to FMSCA regulations and Transport Quality Assurance standards.
- Load and unload tractors/trailers in a safe manner.
- Inspect tractors/trailers before and after each trip, ensuring mechanical safety and emergency equipment is operational.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- One-year semi-tractor and 53ft Trailer driving experience.
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Medical examiner certification card.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Knowledge of Pre-trip and Post-trip DOT regulations.
- Navigation skills.
- Proper driving techniques for semi-tractors.
- Route planning skills.
- Load securing knowledge.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions such as weather, traffic, and route changes.
- Alertness, lift & pull up to 50 to 75 pounds, squatting, kneeling, bending, climbing, and reaching overhead and below the knees.
Compensation and Benefits
- Targeted pay range of $22.75 - $32.00 USD per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
