Location: Jackpot Combined School – Jackpot, Nevada
Schedule: Full-Time

About the Role

The teacher will implement daily instruction based on the Nevada Academic Content Standards and course syllabi, fostering an educational atmosphere that supports student learning and aligns with school and district goals. This position reports directly to the school site administrator.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Must possess or be able to acquire a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education
• Certified in relevant subject area
• Must meet Highly Qualified Teacher requirements upon hire
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Administer district curriculum aligned with the Nevada Academic Content Standards
• Ensure all students learn in a supportive environment
• Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning environment
• Develop and implement effective instructional lessons
• Analyze student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Establish and enforce a classroom management and discipline plan to ensure safety
• Follow assessment regulations and guidelines
• Foster a classroom climate that promotes learning
• Collaborate professionally with administrators, staff, parents, and the community
• Integrate technology into the instructional program
• Participate in job-related duties and activities as assigned
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to provide classroom instruction
• Work cooperatively with students, parents, peers, administration, and community members
• Guide learning toward achievement of curriculum goals
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects
• Use a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs of all students
• Actively participate with faculty and staff
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district policy
• Maintain and improve professional competence
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the principal
