Overview

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise and keep the coffee bar clean
• Ensure guest satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with guests and associates
• Listen to and clarify concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
• Work professionally in all situations
• Work well in stressful, high-pressure environments
• Understand and adhere to proper uniform and grooming standards
• Aid in maintaining lobby public areas by liaising with the housekeeping department
• Assist with monthly inventory
• Maintain a clean workspace throughout the shift
• Follow proper procedures for accepting credit cards and checks
• Maintain a cash bank
• Verify guest room numbers for room charges
• Interact with other departments to ensure guest needs are met
• Adhere to proper food handling procedures
• Use and follow safety procedures for equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in food/beverage or retail
• Previous coffee house and/or hotel experience preferred
• Previous cash handling and face-to-face customer service experience required
• Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
• Handle stressful situations with a calm and welcoming demeanor
• Work cohesively with co-workers within and outside of your department
• Prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment
• Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift

Schedule
