IVM Spray Technician
About the role
This position is seasonal and involves applying herbicide to control weeds, grass, and brush to various commercial and industrial sites, including oil refineries, solar fields, substations, and gas lines. It also includes conducting daily tank mixing, calibrating all spray equipment, conducting truck inspections, ensuring all work is conducted in compliance with safety guidelines, driving company vehicles, and lifting up to 50-60 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Applies herbicide to control weeds, grass, and brush to various commercial and industrial sites, including but not limited to oil refineries, solar fields, substations, and gas lines.
- Conducts daily tank mixing.
- Calibrates all spray equipment.
- Conducts truck inspections (responsible for truck/spray system maintenance and repairs).
- Ensures all work is conducted in compliance with strict safety guidelines.
- Drives company vehicles.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
- 19+ years of age.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time (paid by company).
- Lift 50-60 pounds.
- Experience with mobile IOS Operation System is a plus.
- Work days, nights, weekends, and overtime, as needed, in adverse outdoor conditions.
- Commercial Applicator’s License is preferred. (Company supplied if not currently certified).
