IUOE Refrigeration Mechanic A

Responsibilities

• Provides service support to the customer base within the Medical center regarding refrigeration maintenance.
• Maintains the proper environment to ensure the medical center can perform its service to the community and support the function of building systems.
• Maintains uninterrupted services primary working on refrigeration equipment used by a very diverse customer base including a trauma medical center, research and teaching facilities.
• Complies with the safety regulations and policies of the University of Rochester, MCFO and all local state and Federal agencies having jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• High school education and 4-6 years experience as a refrigeration service mechanic; experience in an electrical/mechanical trade education or related environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CFC Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read and write English and make mathematical calculations required.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations required.
• Preferred candidates will have an associate's degree in a relevant field.
