Responsibilities
- Mets or exceeds sales and service goals.
- Receives, inspects, and verifies cash and negotiable instruments for deposit, accepts loan payments and performs a variety of other functions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Enhances the member’s experience by providing exceptional, professional and consistent service using ITM technology.
- Projects a professional and friendly image at all times.
- Fulfills security, member identification, and fraud prevention policies, procedures and practices.
- Provides consistently high quality member service; adds value to members by recognizing opportunities where our products and services may be beneficial and referring them to other departments and employees when appropriate.
- Maintains willingness and flexibility to work in shifts to accommodate the extended operating hours and business needs of the Teller Center.
- Takes initiative for personal career development and seeks opportunities to learn new skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Teller Center management.
Qualifications
- Education up to the equivalent of a four-year high school education.
- Previous teller, retail, and/or customer service experience.
- Bi-lingual abilities (English/Spanish) are highly desirable.
- Strong member service skills to include telephone and video skills, well-organized and attentive to detail.
- Ability to speak effectively with excellent Telephone/Video etiquette.
- Critical thinking and problem solving acumen.
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
- Knowledge of BayPort Credit Union’s products and services, and ITM Teller Center guidelines.
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
