IT Technician

About the role

The client is seeking an Entry-Level Network Technician to support device configuration, network connectivity, and equipment preparation in a warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in IT and networking.

Responsibilities

• Configure and stage laptops, desktops, and network-connected devices
• Connect equipment to networks and verify connectivity
• Perform basic troubleshooting related to IP addressing, network access, and device configuration
• Assist with inventory tracking and asset management
• Test and prepare equipment for deployment to customer sites
• Maintain accurate documentation of configured devices
• Support warehouse organization and inventory activities as needed
• Absorb and assist with shipping, receiving, and equipment preparation during downtime
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and networking fundamentals
• CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or currently pursuing certification preferred
• Comfortable working with computers, hardware, and technology
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift and move equipment when needed
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality

Preferred Backgrounds

• Recent graduates from IT, Computer Networking, Cybersecurity, or related programs
• Candidates pursuing Network+, CCNA, or other IT certifications
• Candidates with home lab or hands-on technical experience
• Entry-level IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support experience
• Warehouse, logistics, installation, cable technician, or other hands-on blue-collar experience with an interest in technology
• Familiarity with Cisco equipment is a plus
