IT Systems Engineer - Infrastructure

About the role

This role is an opportunity for an IT Systems Engineer to engage in a dynamic and collaborative engineering environment focused on designing, building, and modernizing infrastructure. You will work hands-on with technologies such as Windows Server, VMware, and containerized infrastructure, collaborating closely with a flat team to tackle a variety of tasks, from troubleshooting complex issues to automating processes. Your contributions will be vital in creating standardized and resilient systems that enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure that supports branches, datacenters, and business applications, ensuring it meets operational needs.
• Execute modernization projects to enhance and optimize existing systems and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex technical problems across various platforms, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Create standardized, resilient designs and automation scripts that reduce operational overhead and improve management efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to document technical designs and completed solutions, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or infrastructure implementation experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including management and troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of supporting containerized workloads, with experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Dell enterprise server hardware.
