IT Systems Analyst
About the Role
The IT Systems Analyst implements computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions. This position manages the IT Technician position, if applicable, and works on various application projects under the direction of the Director of IT. The role supports 24x7 business operations, including on-call duties, and follows incident, problem, and change & release management processes.
Responsibilities
- Defines application problems by conferring with clients and evaluating procedures and processes.
- Develops solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative solutions.
- Validates results by testing programs.
- Ensures operation by training client personnel and providing support.
- Provides reference by writing documentation.
- Updates job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
- Takes ownership of minor tasks, problems, or operational efforts.
- Makes recommendations based on knowledge of internal business processes as they relate to applications.
- Acts in a supporting role on larger project and maintenance efforts.
- Maintains confidentiality of privileged information in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
- Resolves problems within the scope of authority and escalates as needed.
- Keeps the supervisor informed of relevant activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
- Familiarity with Active Directory required.
- 2+ years of work experience in information technology or related field.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Virginia Racing Commission License.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, talk or hear, and reach with hands and arms. The role involves prolonged computer use, working in a fast-paced environment, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The noise level is usually moderate to loud, and the Team Member may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, smoke in the gaming room, and light travel. Participation in 24x7 on-call status may be required.
Pay
$55,000 - $60,000 per year
