About the role
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of the organization's technology infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based systems.
- Support and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, wireless systems, and VPN connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues for end users.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Strengthen cybersecurity through vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and incident response.
- Support enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and manufacturing systems.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, technology projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration, network administration, or IT infrastructure support.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, and cloud technologies.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V preferred.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection, backup technologies, and disaster recovery practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise software applications and business systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware certifications are preferred.
