IT Support Technician

About the role

ByVerTek is seeking a detail-oriented IT Technician to support both construction operations and technology systems. This role is responsible for maintaining technology resources, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network connectivity, and managing project data within our construction/project management platform - Vitruvi.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic hardware, software, and network troubleshooting support for field and office personnel.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, printers, and related equipment.
• Aid users with technical issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Upload and manage project designs and documentation within the Vitruvi platform.
• Perform accurate data entry and data maintenance in Vitruvi.
• Ensure project information is current, complete, and properly organized.
• Support construction teams with technology-related requests and system access.
• Cook up with project managers and field staff to maintain accurate project records.
• Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and project-related technology processes.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. Relevant technical certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certifications, or equivalent).
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and networking concepts.
• Experience with data entry and database management.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in construction, utility, telecommunications, or related industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with Vitruvi or similar construction/project management software is preferred.
