About the role

This opportunity offers hands-on end-user computing support in an industrial refinery environment, with responsibility for deskside support, hardware troubleshooting, mobile device support and refresh activities across local sites. The role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to help maintain reliable IT service delivery, accurate documentation and safe operational support. This position is well suited to candidates with strong troubleshooting capability, sound judgement and experience supporting infrastructure systems in a dynamic onsite setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside support for hardware, software and user computing issues
• Troubleshoot infrastructure systems and end-user computing environments
• Support day-to-day operations and provide occasional after-hours support when required
• Coordinate resources and suppliers to complete service requests, refresh activities and project work
• Maintain accurate documentation for supported systems, devices and processes
• Collaborate with business teams, local stakeholders and central infrastructure teams
• Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic onsite environment
• Comply with site safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment
• Lift computer equipment up to 30 lbs., push or pull equipment on a cart up to 100 lbs., and move across site locations including stairs and field areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience troubleshooting infrastructure systems and end-user computing environments
• Experience working effectively in an operational or industrial environment with a strong focus on safety and service continuity
• Valid driver’s licence (Required)
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), or ability to obtain and maintain one (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4–5 years of experience in an information technology discipline
• 2+ years of experience supporting refining or midstream IT assets
• Experience installing and troubleshooting data centre infrastructure
• A+ certification (Preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply advanced or specialised technical training
• Strong leadership and initiative, with the ability to build trust and confidence with customers and technical teams
