Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in IT system planning project management support
- Review, analyze, and evaluate issues to facilitate effective and efficient service delivery to meet customer needs
- Prepare briefings, white papers, information papers, recommendations, governance metrics, and policy assessments
- Collaborate with customers to identify and document project requirements
- Perform analysis on how to meet user demands for higher reliability and availability of services while meeting DoD requirements
- Continuously oversee, monitor, and track IT contract(s) for cost, schedule, and performance; and provide monthly metrics and status
- Provide expert support to government contracting representatives for associate contractors in the execution and administration of new project and baseline tasks
- Develop descriptive tasking language and assist with government cost estimates
- Assist with government technical evaluations and recommendations to the Contracting Officer
- Participate in weekly meetings and customer requirements meetings to prepare and submit bi-weekly reports
- Aid in the development, documentation, and implementation of improved IT efficiencies
- Aid in the review, editing, and completion of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) associated with various DoD contracts
- Identify trends or other issues that may require special consideration or procedures
- Submit for and track status of DoD approvals required for new contract efforts
- Evaluate and recommend changes to existing policies and guidance
- Document new workflows and recommend enhancements to existing workflows to ensure they reflect current activities
- Coordinate with customers to develop Program Management Review briefings
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM related field from an accredited institution with at least 8 years of relevant IT experience working on missile defense-related or other complex large DoD program/projects
- Acceptable alternative: Bachelor's Degree in field other then STEM with 12 years relevant IT experience working on missile defense-related or other complex large DoD program/projects
- Capable of providing expertise in IT system operations, planning, design, maintenance, and sustainment operations and IT project management support
- Work independently and/or participates on teams to analyze and resolve problems
- U.S. Citizenship required; Active SECRET security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to quickly and accurately process multiple assignments with aggressive timelines in a fast paced environment
- Familiarity with Cisco, Microsoft, or VMWare products
- Familiar with Security Technical Implementation Guides
- Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework
- Working experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
