Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot user hardware, software, and connectivity issues in an Enterprise environment (printer connectivity, Outlook and MS Office issues, password resets, wireless/wired connectivity, folder/file permissions).
- Perform basic Active Directory tasks: account and object creation/modification, work with Security Groups and Organizational Units, and learn basic PowerShell for gathering information.
- Handle basic Exchange and/or Office 365 tasks: confirm email addresses, check and update distribution lists.
- Manage tickets in Service Now: update, assign, close, sort, and filter.
- Provide basic break/fix support for end-users: troubleshoot connectivity, peripherals, hardware, and software issues.
- Set up accounts and hardware for incoming hires and decommission for departing employees: build accounts, image and deploy hardware, retrieve hardware.
- Support company events from an IT perspective, including A/V and computer requirements.
- Create simple documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical off-hours support (monthly).
Requirements
- Experience in a Windows desktop environment.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, network security, and network administration.
- Basic knowledge of network connectivity, protocols, and security devices, including VPN troubleshooting.
- Strong in-person, phone, and written communication skills; ability to manage expectations and de-escalate stressed users/situations.
- Technical certifications in PC or network-related areas (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
- Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or hold/be able to obtain a valid working visa.
