About the role
The IT Sourcing Manager will lead strategic sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, negotiate technology contracts, and implement cost-saving and value-creation initiatives across the IT category for Ghirardelli, Lindt & Sprüngli (USA), and Lindt & Sprüngli North America.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes category strategies for IT-related indirect materials and services in close collaboration and alignment with the Sourcing Director Indirects.
- Supports the development and implementation of sourcing strategies across relevant IT categories using the 7-step sourcing process, including software/SaaS, cloud services, infrastructure, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity tools, professional services, managed services, and software licensing renewals.
- Conducts market analyses, supplier benchmarking, spend reviews, and total cost of ownership assessments to identify trends, risks, savings opportunities, supplier consolidation opportunities, and emerging technology sourcing needs.
- Builds and maintains strategic relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms that support quality, cost, service levels, supply assurance, business continuity, and long-term value creation.
- Led contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, conditions, pricing, and service commitments, balancing quality, service, risk management, compliance, and cost objectives.
- Manages key contract lifecycle activities, including renewals, amendments, statements of work, software licensing terms, service agreements, and supplier performance obligations.
- Maintains the sourcing project tracker with current project information, status, risks, dependencies, savings opportunities, renewal milestones, and stakeholder actions.
- Supports budgeting, forecasting, and renewal planning by providing visibility to supplier spend, contract timelines, project status, and expected financial impact.
- Executes cost-saving and value-creation initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, demand management, competitive bidding, contract optimization, and process efficiencies.
- Participates as a key contributor in cost-savings ideation workshops with relevant functions and translates opportunities into actionable sourcing projects.
- Collaborates with the Group Indirect Procurement team to support the execution of global initiatives and leverage global agreements where appropriate.
- Ensures procurement processes follow company policies, procurement best practices, governance standards, and applicable legal, compliance, privacy, and information security requirements.
- Monitors supplier performance against agreed quality, service, delivery, security, compliance, SLA, and KPI standards.
- Identifies supplier, commercial, operational, cybersecurity, data privacy, and business continuity risks and develops mitigation or contingency plans to protect the organization.
- Collaborates with the Group Indirect Procurement team to support the execution of global initiatives and leverage global agreements where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, or contract negotiations.
- Minimum of 4–5 years of IT procurement or technology sourcing experience, preferably across software/SaaS, cloud services, IT infrastructure, telecom, cybersecurity solutions, professional services, managed services, or software licensing.
- Experience negotiating technology agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, SaaS agreements, software licenses, renewals, amendments, SLAs, and professional services agreements.
- Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP platforms, contract management tools, and e-sourcing tools such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct spend analysis, supplier benchmarking, total cost of ownership analysis, savings tracking, and executive-level reporting.
- Knowledge of procurement policies, supplier governance, contract compliance, third-party risk management, data privacy, cybersecurity, and supplier due diligence practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- CPSM, CSCP, CPM, MCIPS, ITIL Foundation, software asset management, or similar procurement or technology-related certification preferred.
Qualifications

Benefits
This position is a hybrid role that can be located in Kansas City, MO or San Leandro, CA. This position is not eligible for relocation.
Pay
San Leandro Salary Range: $130,000-155,000/year
