IT Solutions Architect
Duration: 2+ Months | Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid – 1-2 days onsite)

Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As an IT Solutions Architect, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current technology environment and help establish a practical crawl → walk → run technology roadmap
- Serve as a hands-on technical advisor to leadership and translate business needs into scalable technology solutions
- Optimize existing Microsoft Azure environment and identify opportunities to use existing Microsoft capabilities before adding additional third-party platforms
- Evaluate and improve integrations across core enterprise systems, including:
- TempWorks – ATS, payroll, invoicing, revenue and cost-of-sales system of record
- Sage/QuickBooks – finance and accounting
- HubSpot
- Workato
- Microsoft/Azure ecosystem
- Other SaaS and operational platforms
- Review the TempWorks → Sage integration and help ensure accurate, reliable movement of payroll, financial, invoicing, and revenue data
- Evaluate where native APIs, Azure services, or existing platform capabilities can replace unnecessary middleware or point solutions
- Support the design and evolution of enterprise data architecture, including evaluating appropriate use cases for Microsoft Fabric
- Establish sound approaches for data quality, governance, and validation to support reliable reporting, automation, and AI outputs
- Support application and internal-product development using existing Azure environment
- Provide architectural guidance around GitHub, DevOps, application hosting, identity/access management, and security
- Help establish appropriate identity and access controls for internal applications, including potential Okta integration
- Evaluate practical AI and automation use cases while establishing the appropriate architecture, governance, and data foundation to support them
- Support AI-enabled development initiatives, including applications currently leveraging Claude and other emerging AI technologies
- Help establish technology standards that ensure internally developed applications, source code, and intellectual property remain maintainable and company-owned
- Provide technical oversight of third-party vendors and help leadership evaluate when capabilities should be built internally, purchased, integrated, or outsourced
- Help define the longer-term internal IT organization and identify additional technical skill sets required as the company grows
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and cloud services
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise application integrations using APIs, middleware, and cloud-native integration patterns
- Broad understanding of enterprise architecture across applications, infrastructure, data, and security
- Experience assessing fragmented technology environments and developing practical modernization or rationalization strategies
- Strong understanding of data architecture, integration, data quality, and governance
- Experience with GitHub and modern DevOps/software-development practices
- Working knowledge of identity and access management, authentication, application security, and cloud governance
- Experience designing or supporting AI-enabled applications, automation, or GenAI solutions
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical executives and operations leaders
- Comfortable operating in a growing organization where the architect may need to move between strategy, architecture, and hands-on execution

Pay
The salary range for this role is $145,000 to $210,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
