Job Responsibilities
- Supports the daily operation, maintenance, and management of instructional equipment and technology.
- Responsible for the setup, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and storage of teaching equipment.
- Maintains and administers department computers, software, and related technology.
- Ensures all engineering technology systems remain operational through regular maintenance, upgrades, and technical support.
- Helps create a reliable learning environment for students and faculty.
- Provides operational support to the Department Chair, Program Directors, and faculty by assisting with the training and supervision of student assistants as needed.
- Serves as a key liaison with Operations, Maintenance, Information Technology (IRM), and other college support departments.
- Collaborates across the institution to address technical needs and support departmental initiatives.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- An associate's degree in computer science or electronic technology and two (2) years' experience in computer programming, computer operations, data coordination or the maintenance and repair of computers.
- Or a high school diploma and four (4) years' experience in computer programming, computer operations, data control, data coordination, or the maintenance of computers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sufficient skill with electronic analytical equipment to troubleshoot equipment and computer malfunctions and recommend and make repairs.
- A working knowledge of standard office software.
- Ability to install and configure hardware and software for office and laboratory use.
- Manage inventory.
